Thaïs Wyche-Key was a mechanic and engineering student who did some shady chop-shop work on the side. She was good to her friends, steered clear of drugs, but she had a wild and rebellious streak that her “decent” mother and step-father could never chide out of her.
One night, she was partying with her friends Drea, Petra and Boo, celebrating her best friend Drea’s new job as a nurse at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. She spotted her ex-boyfriend at the rave and the group of friends decided to leave the dance party, despite the storm outside. The group retired to Petra’s squat on the second floor of an abandoned warehouse and started to play some darts before Boo heard a strange noise downstairs. Thaïs and Boo went downstairs to investigate.
The creature that killed her friend Petra was something that Thaïs, despite her bravery and strength, could have never stood a chance of taking down. The wight, maddened with blood lust went after everyone in that warehouse that night. Boo managed to escape after Thaïs provided an opening for him.
Just at that, a group of well-armed strangers arrived to take down the creature. A fight ensued and their leader was able to stake the monster only with Thaïs’ aid. But it came at a cost, for it had carved a fatal hole through Thaïs’ midsection. All went dark for Thaïs. When she woke, she was already dead.
Thaïs came to understand her new unlife and her sire, (the aforementioned leader of the well-armed strangers) Jason Li, did his best to explain the world of the Kindred to her.
Following Thaïs’ presentation to the Prince of Alexandria, she met up with a fellow neonate, Desirée. The two hit it off and began a friendship that became a lucrative venture for both.
Thaïs is a citizen of the Domain of Alexandria.
Thaïs has a hatred for wights and has tracked and destroyed one of them: with a taste for putting down more.

Owns a transportation company with four trucks that make a nightly haul to Richmond, Va.
Enemies: Thaïs has made an enemy of the Setites of Anacostia (the Church of Light) when she staked and mangled Marcel to “send a message,” however, they have not overtly moved against her . . . yet.
Ghouls: Eric Normandin is the head of her H&H Ranch.
Special Abilities: Thaïs is very strong and fast and is a capable fighter. She is also a skilled mechanic and can refit automobiles better than any other Kindred in the Domain.
Weaknesses: Like all Brujah, Thaïs has a temper and is prone to Frenzy. She is also unafraid to say what is on her mind, which might get her into trouble. She also suffers from some PTSD-rage when faced with Wights.
