Alazar Makonnen was a C.I.A. field agent with a lot of blood on his hands. He was unable to balance his grisly work life with his personal life and his wife, unaware of his true career, left him and took their two children with her. The spy buried himself in his work, traveling the world supporting coups.
Alazar’s life would be forever changed when he was up for a strange “promotion” from Langley to Andrews Air Force Base. There, under Colonel Atkinson, he began his descent into the “True Government” of the world and was led into the mysteries of the House and Clan Tremere and given a new name: “Number 7.” Pontifex Peter Dorfman made Number 7 his pet project.
Alazar was rewarded with the embrace after proving his resolve by committing treason in infiltrating CIA headquarters. He proved his loyalty by killing and draining a former co-worker and was initiated by Councilor Meerlinda herself.
And so, Number 7 began his long training period in the Camarilla Exclusion Zone (CEZ) as an agent of the Inner Circle of the Camarilla under the aegis of the Tremere.
Number 7’s first major mission was given to him following a decade of preparation. Pontifex Dorfman told the agent about a radio broadcast the night before in which the host began discussing prophesies that he should have known nothing about. 7’s mission was to seek out this host and find out what he knows and how he knows it and then to report back.
Despite the decade of preparation, Number 7 could not have been ready for what this mission would entail.
Number 7, posing as Septimus-posing-as-George, has been granted citizenship in the Domain of Alexandria, though the Prince is unaware of his identity or mission. He is one of the very few who has citizenship in the CEZ, though his mission parameters do not currently call for him to return there. He has not been presented to the Prince of Georgetown and will not be unless his mission requires it.
Number 7 has been led into the hidden Golden Sphere of the Fourth Circle of Mystery, though he is posing as an Apprentice of the Third Circle of Mystery for his current mission.

Special Abilities: Number 7 was one of the world’s top counterintelligence assets before embrace. He has only improved exponentially since his death. He is a skilled manipulator, quite competent with fire arms and is a master of infiltration. He is knowledgable in Tremere rituals on the Path of Blood to the middle level.
Weaknesses: He is dogmatically bound to the Tremere, both by blood and creed. Shaking his faith in this would be difficult, but if managed, would be quite dangerous. His shattered sense of self would violently lash out, his Beast unhinged.
As well as possessing an eidetic memory, Number 7 is a natural linguist who can speak English, Amharic, Arabic, German, Russian and Spanish. He also knows the phrase, “Are you my voice?” in Enochian . . . which is more than almost anyone walking the Earth can say in the dead language.
